1.4    "Subd. 7. Availability of all service delivery options; consultation with county
1.5boards. (a) The commissioner shall pursue all federal waivers and approvals, and all state
1.6law, rule, and contracting changes, necessary to allow all 87 counties in the state to have
1.7the same range of service delivery options for the children's health security program,
1.8medical assistance, MinnesotaCare, and general assistance medical care, including but
1.9not limited to county based purchasing under section 256B.692. This shall not limit the
1.10development and testing of new service delivery models as short-term pilot projects.
1.11    (b) In making service delivery and contracting decisions, the commissioner shall
1.12consult and seek recommendations from county boards, applying the procedures specified
1.13in section 256B.69, subdivision 3a, paragraphs (a) and (b), and subdivision 3b, to the
1.14range of service delivery options."
